A1 ROUND 1 PLAY0FFS COMMENTARY BY The Ticallion Stallion
| CRAFTY HAGGERS 79 ACTION JACKSON 76 |
| Playoff action at CRFC, does it get any Better than this, especially when there’s two football games on and I’m here instead of at some campus dive bar getting smashed. But anyways, the games lived up to the playoff hype. Early on in this game, the Commish threw a zone at the Hagglers and they looked befuddled. It was like they were trying to read a defense in German instead of English, assuming no one on the team speaks German. With the Hagglers stifled on offense, AJ was explosive on the other side of the ball as Jim Meldrim was on fire, scoring a ridiculous 23 points in the first half. As bad as they played in the first half, the Hagglers managed to battle back to get the lead down to 3 by the half. In the second half, the Hagglers finally decided to guard Jim Meldrim (5 2nd half pts). With Meldrim under wraps, the Hagglers made their move, Kevy Kev (19) and more importantly Joe Brusch (38 pts) went on a second half tear, scoring 27 in the half. With Meldrim being hounded, AJ got a huge step up from Corey Penrose (18pts 18rebs) and the Commish (15pts) to keep them in the game. Depsite Kevy missing some huge free throws, the Hagglers managed to get a huge win and send the Commish home early this season. League fees will be increased in the fall league, thanks Hagglers.

| PITTSBURG PISCES 59 PASSING RUFFIANS 53 |
| The Pisces jumped out the first half lead behind incredible shooting from Dirty (14pts) and Salazar (26pts). Combined, the two would end up hitting 8 3’s, which consisted of more than 1/3rd of their entire points. As Ruffians were hanging tough in the second half, frustration was setting in for the Pisces as Danny Salazar was flagged for unsportsman like conduct and was given a T. Cheese (16pts) and Danny O’D (14pts) led a charge that tied the game at 49 late in the second half. With under 3 minutes to play, the Pisces regained their composure and Dirty came up clutch, hitting free throw after free throw to ice the game for the Pisces.

| THE 9’S 64 FRANKS AND BEANS 56 |
| It was a tough game for the Sergen, playing with out rookie sensation, Keith Thompson. Keith hope the injury heals fast my man. Without Keith, Franks and Beans went into the game with Ramon playing like Magic Johnson, the point center position. The 9’s dominated the 1 half, busting out with a 10 point lead at the break behind Steve Shorey (17pts) and possible rookie of the year Jim Thomas (24pts). In the second half I thought the higher seeded underdogs would just fold, call it quits. Let me tell you there was no quit in Franks and Beans in the second half. I had visions of Rocky running down the streets of Phily, with the trumpets blaring the theme song. Ramon (21pts) and Mike Quinn (15pts) led a run that had them down 2 with 4 minutes to play. But just like Rocky they went the distance but lost the bout. After a timeout, the 9’s got back into their rhythm and ran F&B off the court.

| A WEEK IN CHYNA 59 KIT KATS 52 |
| I am determined to get a porn name on a banner. It is my destiny. In the first half it was anyone’s game. Scoring was scarce as the two teams were playing incredibly tough D. However, Chyna held the lead at the end of the first half. In the second half, Tim Gaspar tried to take the game over, and almost succeeded. Tim’s team high 27, kept the KitKats competitive all game. When he was double teamed, Eric Hinton came up huge nailing 3’s (Eric you lied, you said before the game your shot has been off for weeks.) Chyna responded with more defensive pressure and the man we call the Predator. Dan Herman stepped it up big time in the second half, hitting some key shots down the stretch to keep the game just out of reach for the KitKats. I am two games away from my dream, I pray for the teams that stand in my way.
