Women's League Finals MVP: Hallie Fredricks, Hot Potato
Hallie is presented the finals MVP by CRFC BBall's Sean O'Cal. Hallie led a very balanced Hot Potato team to the title by dethroning the Black Mambas. Not an east task - great job Hallie and Hot Potato!

Hot Potato Dethrones the Reigning Champs; Hallie Takes Home MVP
Like all good things, they have to come to an end and in this instance, the two time champs ran into a better team on this particular night, spoiling their chances for a three-peat. In front of our best crowd ever, 8 people, both teams gave everyone something great to watch.
Hot Potato blew up in the first half with some stellar D and even more impressive shooting. Hallie Fredricks earned MVP honors for her superb shooting, defense, and all around game and in the first half, she was everywhere for HP. Plus, if I didnt give her the award I know she would have complained about it and Ive heard enough for one season. Just kidding Hallie, we all know you most certainly earned the honor. Erin "Hemi" Conroy, who had to make like Doug Mirabelli last season when the Sox got him back from San Diego, hustled back, a la police escort, care of the Commish, to make sure she collected rent from everyone who used her paint. With Erin's scoring, rebounding and strength, there is no question who owns the paint when shes on the floor and it rang true again tonight.
The Mambas tried to claw back into the game by running a little bit when HP looked a tad winded. Rhiannon did a great job at the point, while Kristen Hurov earned all 14 of her points going up against Erin C and double teams. Eliza had a great night shooting the rock when she was able to get some open looks, as well as Darcy Kelly. Lauren Checci did her best to make sure she grabbed every board in sight all the while trying to stick Erin C on D.
However, in the second half, HP was just way to overwhelming to handle. Natalie Cohen was remarkable on both sides of the ball, especially on the fast break. Then, it was role call, and the premier role player in the league, Jillian Berry, was all over the place, hustling and snatching offensive rebounds when she wasnt yelling at me from the sidelines to ref better. And talk about stepping up to the plate, Jessica Anderson was draining jumpers in the second half like a young John Havlicheck.
All in all, HP was just the better team tonite and well deserved the championship. Hallie not only deserved the MVP, but also deserved to take such a stylish photo as she was presented with the ceremonial MVP red white and blue ball. Just like the Oscars, we asked for the ball back when the ceremony was over though.
Congrats and remember, new league starts in June. Cant wait to see the Mambas rebound and HP defend their title. I would love to see a rematch next season in the championship.
