Team Takeover 68  UMass Rec All-Stars 59

First game of the night is UMASS REC ALLSTARS vs Team Takeover. I wonder how many guys are going to show up for UMASS this week? No I don’t, the answer is 5. And unsurprisingly they had a lead at halftime. I don’t want to talk bad about such a nice group of guys, but at some point they really need a bench. Maybe I’ll be healed up by next season. Hit me up Garrett!

First half we had a very poor shooting performance for Team Takeover, not picking up where they left off last week. I’m assuming the size of UMASS is tough to shoot over, as everyone on this team today was legit 6’. Team Takeover doesn’t have size but they do have Toney and Christian, 2 of the most athletic dudes in the gym. Both were doing a good job of protecting the paint when UMASS started playing bully ball. UMASS still took a slight halftime lead, 31-24. They walked off the court saying ‘Guys, we have been here before’.

Garrett started the second half off with a steal and a fast break dunk, and here I was thinking that UMASS was going to increase their lead, but for every layup or putback they hit, TT would nail a 3.....including a few 3 point daggers when UMASS would come up empty on offense. As the bigger team, UMASS was having trouble keeping up with the pace of the game, as no one on their team was a PG. TT pressed the whole second half and won the game by 9 as they rushed UMASS into bad shot after bad shot down the stretch.

Beantown Cup 64  Toxic Maskulinity 54

Second game of the night we have Toxic Maskulinity vs Beantown Cup. Idk what Kash was doing earlier in the season when he couldn’t make the games, but he may want to go back to doing that, not at all because of his skill, but maybe because his team is starting to see him as bad luck. Let’s get into it.

Jay was here for Toxic, and while that’s usually good news, Sam Taub matches up against him extremely well, and may be the superstar stopper that Beantown Cup has needed earlier in their season. Sam Has also helped their rebounding numbers, Nate and Nick don’t have to grab every rebound lol Chad does a great job being the Go-to scorer regardless of who is the Batman in his scenario. I think there was a wide open layup Sam hit that I booed him for and then immediately remembered we aren’t all in our 20’s.

Second half everyone was stat padding. Toxic could have really used Blaine tonight.

Rams 60  The Delvinators 64

Final game of the night, we have Rams vs The Delvinators. Rams cheerleading squad just keeps getting bigger. They had 10 guys tonight and split the squad into 2 teams to make sure they all got a fair amount of minutes. Delvinators on the other hand only had 5 guys. Missing again was superstar John for the Delvs.

The first half was all Rams as everyone was getting buckets. Even Cam got in on the scoring as the Delvinators looked to be too gassed by the army of subs. I think Alex’s grandmother ended up with some stats by the end of this game.

Second half I thought Delvinators were gonna run up the score, but their was no cohesion between their subs. Delvinators stayed within striking distance until Their superstar John showed up breathing new life into the Delvs and got 8 points in the final 4 minutes of the game. Rams shot themselves in the foot later in the game going offense for defense yet had Cam trying to box out for rebounds. Delvinators grabbed their own miss 3x’s in the final minute of the game to sneak away with the W.

Box Out!!!
