SO I’m combining the write ups from last week with the preview for this week.

I was waiting on the on demand videos to become available so I can include some highlights but alas, the video isn’t posted.

Dojo VS Lambda Epsiolon

No Leone. For some reason Dojo approved Stat to fill in. Not the best idea because the weakness of the Dojo is size. Something to keep an eye on during this game.

Early on rookie Matt M. was matched up with Mazz. The match up felt like a great one. Similar body type. Similar quickness. Early on Matt’s defense really slowed down Mazz where it took a little while for the Dojo to get going.

First half was really tight and leads were exchanged back and forth. Matt M/ hits a buzzer beating 3 at half time to take a 24-19 lead.

In the 2nd half, Mazz starts cooking. Starting raining 3s and getting to the rim. In fact with 11:10 to play, Dojo takes a lead on a Mazz 3, 40-38.

The 2nd half was the Mazz vs Sydorko show and it was just too much Mazz. No one else on Dojo could get going offensively but it didn’t matter as Mazz carried his team to victory.

MVP: Mazz – Great 2nd half and winning performance out of Mazz.

LVP: 7 points from Stat is odd. He was a fill in but still LVP.

Hopp on the Yates Train VS Back at It

I took a jab at Hopp for being a bad pick where he got taken. He took that to heart and proved me wrong in this one.

As per usual, Hopp on the Yates train comes out with a quick lead going up 7-2 with 17:15 to play. That was the end of the good play by Yates and company in the first half as Ruff’s squad end the half on a 35 to 10 run. Yikes. Bryce was easily the MVP in the first half for Crack addict at he had 13 points and 11 rebounds at the half.

The 2nd didn’t start like Hopp and company would come back. But little by little, Bryce and Brob stopped making their shots and layups and Hopp and Yates start doing some series work. With 4:20 left, Hopp on the yates train is still down 54-40.

Yates then rains in 3 straight 3s to get the game to 54-49. Then a Hopp 3 to get the game to 2.

We are at 57-54 with 2:00 to play and Crack addicts desperately trying to hold onto a lead.

HOPP WITH A HUGE 3 with 32 seconds left to tie at 60.

We go to OT. Then double OT. Hopp and company end up pulling it out by 7 in the 2nd overtime.

MVP: Hopp – Made the big 3 to tie the game. Put up a bunch of points. Responded to my criticism

LVP: Ruff – 0-7 from 3. Not enough points.

Week 6 Preview:

Enter the Lyon’s Den vs Hopp on the Yates Train. Lyon favored by 2.5

In week 1, ETLD pulled out a 3 point victory over HOTYT.

Lyon has been playing better as he get’s used to playing wall ball. I’m interested to see how Yates or McQuilken try to slow him down from eating all the offensive rebounds.

This is a classic game of shooters vs big guys inside. Eager to see if the change in the NBA is the same as SDL CAC. I think size matters in wall ball tho.

Dojo VS Roll Me a J. Dojo favored by 3.5

Dojo won the first match up BUT we were missing 3 guys and had pizza filling in.

Daley on Mazz is gonna be an interested match up.

This should be a great game.

Lambda Epsilon VS Back at it Lambda favored by 6.5

Ruff’s team loses a lot of close games this season. Lambda has been probably the best team this season and the combination of Leone and Sydorko has been very deadly.

This is not a good match up for crack addicts and I see Leone eating with 8 3s and 35 points.

I appreciate all the CAC fans who have reached out to congratulate me on my amazing accomplishment. You all are the reason i do what I do year in and year out. The fans inspire me to perform at the highest level.

Out all all the numerous championships, awards and recognition I’ve gotten, the chance to influence and inspire those of you with lesser abilities than my own has been the most rewarding experience I’ve had at CAC. Thank you all for giving me the opportunity to make you all better basketball players and human beings.

See you all Saturday morning!

Mazz, Should’ve told us earlier so we could’ve ordered some discount balloons from BargainBalloons

Now I don’t have time to get them ordered and to CAC by 11:40 tomorrow, I’m really disappointed……

Maybe I’ll bring you a lollipop and participation trophy instead
