Saw a post about lack of engagement so throwing out a suggestion….

@Tibbs, is there a way we could move the discussion board off this 1999 format and onto a mobile friendly app with functionality like Discord.

That way, writeups can get posted directly there, sortable by league channel with the ability for comments, voting, reminders, etc. You can connect directly to whatever is hosting the stats on here and pull those in as well. You could do drafts in there, have locked/permissioned channels, store all CAC waivers and updates, etc. Everything is searchable and easy to reference as well…

I’m old and even I use Discord.

+1 to this. I think Slack had potential just needed a little more momentum. Discord a great option.

I wouldn’t hate the idea of slack. Something easier than coming to the site and logging in would be a welcomed change

We had (still have) a slack channel for Over 30 Legends in the session right before Covid hit and it was poppin off regularly. We had polls for player awards and overall more engagement. The website is good for archiving old stats and write ups, but the social aspect here is definitely lacking with all the Gen Z’ers who play nowadays not knowing what a forum is lol

I dont use discord as much as Slack, but I think either platform would be a plus for the community and would use either.

You have a wide definition of “poppin off”.
