Hey guys just a friendly reminder, please wear your masks at all times in the facility and please no fighting with the refs or scorekeeper. Now that the bills are paid and the boss is happy let’s get to the real reason you guys are here.

EJ told me his team name last week so my Washington football team joke was used on orlinsky’s team, but hit me up on Twitter or some form of social media and I’ll change it. Mazz showed up almost 20 minutes late, much to the amusement of Musse and Legesse, who did the best with the extra touches. Both were red hot out of the gate, legesse hitting his first 2 3’s and Musse looking much more comfortable playing PG than standing around waiting for Mazz to make a bailout pass, but after going down by almost 30 they were begging for the #1 overall draft pick to show up and make the game somewhat watchable. The hope wasn’t so much about that they would win, just make it more respectable.

On the other side of the ball, I have what should have been the #1 pick, Dave Zeilinski, Showing up on time, and playing defense. It’s somewhat easier to play defense with Dwyer protecting the rim the way he did in this game, while also not missing a shot. Xavier Ramdial and kashawn Harrison did a great job minimizing Mazz’s impact while also staying hot and spacing the floor so Dave could work out easily. Only problem I see with this team, is that Dave is the finisher for his squad and they may run into problems getting him the ball against a quality defender.

This was a game of two halves, no Yeakley again for Flat Earth Theory, and it’s going to be tough playing in this league without your #1 pick as we saw with both of the first two games today. Remy was making crazy full court passes, diming Steven Sloboda and Will Steeves for easy fast break layups. Even carrying a slight lead into halftime. Shooting 0% from 3 in the second half, really makes for a 1 dimensional offense.

As for my prediction for the future champs, I was debating calling my bookie and trying to hedge my bets by putting money against Attendance Optional when I saw no Phil at game time, yet again another 1st round pick that didn’t show this weekend. After a slight scare in the first half, where they couldn’t cover a baby with a blanket, Robel subbed himself out(possible injury) and now they were the undersized team, running and gunning with Casey Tenney giving his team 2nd chance after 2nd chance just out hustling opponents for loose balls. They owe the win to Jacob Tolloch who went absolutely bananas from 3, hitting 5-6 in a row to start the second half and even taking a step back 3 from the logo as ‘the shot clock was winding down’. I’m much happier with my preseason fav after watching them handle adversity and overcome.

This was my favorite game of the night, extra curricular activities excluded, because it was the only game that was close. Yeah that’s it. Well, team pick a name soon, def caught my attention behind the in shape play of jamil ball, who loves the new floor as he has tons of grip and hasn’t fallen on it yet. Will hit one 3 in this game, and that’s the best you are gonna get from a guy that old. Dylan and djordje did a good job playing off of jamil and they hit just enough free throws at the end of the game, to keep Grandpa Juice at bay.

Grandpa juice looked tons better after getting a week to get themselves back into playing shape, and it gave them a real chance in this game. They also seem very comfortable in their roles and I hope that is a hope for things to come in their future. Jahred was scoring from everywhere to keep his team in the game. Malcolm was a problem on the offense glass when the other team had to put two bodies on Shawn. Speaking of Shawn he had some big baskets downlow to get his team within a bucket of victory, but questionable leadership ruined their chances again this week. At least that won’t be a factor moving forward.
