Spring 2012 Coed Madness Elite 8 Game Lines

Spring 2012 Coed Madness Elite 8 Game Lines

We’re down to only 3 nights of games left.  One team(Shots) is still undefeated and is looking to go 13-0 on the season and bring home a CAC title, if they play like last week they will have a strong chance of doing just that.  We’ve got 3 games tonight, with one of the Elite 8 games being moved to tomorrow night at the Cambridge Y(Thunder Buddies vs. WOMS).  I’ve been given some insider info and I know some teams will be missing key players so I’ve adjusted my game lines.  Good luck to everyone tonight and look for me to post the Final Four game lines tomorrow.

7 PM – #5 BOOM vs. #4 Sexy(-3.5)

If this game was played 3 or 4 weeks ago I would be picking BOOM but they’ve lost their best perimeter defender in Powell so now they are going to have fits trying to slow down Terrel.  I do think BOOM has the tools to slow down Pamela who has proven to be a lights out shooter.  On the flip side I would imagine that Keith should be able to help keep The Minotaur off the glass and those two should even each other’s productivity out.  Either way, I think Sexy will have just a little too much of an edge with BOOM playing more short handed than they’d like and missing a key piece defensively.

– Kari gets 3 fouls in the first half
– Ian scores 25+
– Both teams will have at least 4 players in double figures scoring and at least one each with 20+

8 PM – #2 Shots(-10.5) vs. #7 Sun Dance

A little birdie told me that Sun Dance will be missing a key piece in Hags tonight.  Losing his rebounding and shot blocking ability is a big loss against a very large and athletic Shots squad.  Kearney and Maurice are two of the best guards in the league but I think the difference will be Shot’s size down low with Jess, Kevin, and John.  They also run the floor very well and don’t get tired, so I fully expect them to do the same tonight and take advantage of Sun Dance playing with no subs.  I would’ve loved to see this matchup with Sun Dance fully staffed and with Ibrahim still around, that would’ve been quite the battle.  However with Sun Dance short handed, I think Shots easily runs away with this one.

– Kevin and John combine for at least 40 points and 25 boards.
– Kearney hits at least 3 triples with Mo draped all over him.
– I will be forced to strip down out of my work clothes due to the heat at The Morse School, sorry in advance.

9 PM – #3 Wheels(-5.5) vs. #6 Western U.

This is going to be one hell of a battle, so many very good players between the two teams and some serious shooting ability.  Nicole should have a slight size advantage against the ladies from Western U. but Mo is about as equipped as they come to defend a player like her.  Sharkey has been playing well as of late but he’s going to have to play smart, strong D against the likes of Tristan and Jesse.  The real question is:  What Wheels player is going to get thrown at Corbett?  Gary has a rare combination of lights out shooting from anywhere beyond the arc, size, athleticism, and ability to get to the rim at will.  Tristan is a bit too small but has the athleticism, Coffey and Roberts have the size but like to play near the basket.  It’s going to be a tough assignment and could make the difference in this game.

– Tristan breaks the only working fan left at Morse School, causing me to get heat stroke
– The teams will combine to take over 40 3 pointers in this matchup, and will hit at least 40% of them.
– The Minotaur, playing in his second game of the night, will lead all players in rebounds.
