FDH Holds Off Every C-Town Run

FDH led the entire game but not without being tested several times by my ex-car jacking boys from C-Town.

It seemed the difference in this game was every time C-Town looked like they were going to tie it up or take the lead, FDH found Awad cherry picking for easy dueces.  When they had Griff handling the glass, they didnt need Tony to get back.  Matty 5 bars had a hot second half, better late then never my....as my parents always say to me, hoping that I will stop being a dead beat and actually make something of my life.  Shugah Shayne had to dodge as many cars on the road as C-Town defenders just to get here midway through the first half and still managed to finish in double digits in scoring and "Yeah!" battle cries.

For my C-Town boys,  Bryan led the boys with a couple of treys and sweet post drives.  No almost dunks so his average will dip.  JGal not only set a great example for his boy on the floor with his fundamental spin jumpers, but off the court, he was schoolin his boy on working the scoreboard so I didnt have to lift a finger.  Of course it was embarrassing after the game for his 11 yr old son to strong arm me for his cut on the hours work but I figured it was in my best interest to pay up before he called his boys.  Uncle Derrick too, did a great job on the offensive glass to get the crew back on track and Andrew was stroking his pull up jumper, but just like my days in high school, trying to hook up with the drunkest chick at the party, something just always kept me and C-Town from sealing the deal.  In my case it was probably the whole me driving an 88 Sentra and looking like I was 12, but in C-Town's case, FDH kept hitting key shots when they needed it.

F/OT The Dolla Dolla Billet Spoils the Return of Mr. Buckets

This was an absolutely insane game featuring 2 of the best guards in the league with great nicknames.  The Dolla Dolla Billet and Mr. Buckets.

All game these 2 battled as the stars while their teammates had no problem playing second fiddles.  Combined the 2 hit 16 3's (Zieja - 9, Billet -7) and combined for 69 (insert giggle) points.

In the second half, TJ made the switch to guard Billet and did a great job checking him, literally and physically.  Other players had to step up for the CAC, Spidey and Jay Say hit a combined 7 treys, while KO owned dropped in some post drives (5 free throws hit! Congrats).

On the other side, Frank Powell and TJ provided extra boosts when Mr. Buckets was covered.  As time ticked down, Red Dubs was trailing by 5.  Powell got a rebound, dribbled it up the full court, and pulled up for a 3.  He drilled it with a minute to play.  After a big stop CAC's lead was down to 2 with 30 seconds to play. After a timeout, Mr Buckets dribbled down and came off a screen FROM 40 feet away and drilled a pull up 3 to take a 1 point lead with 20 to play.  Strangly, when the ball came in, Red Dubs fouled and put JaySar at the line for a one and one.  Tying the game, CAC was back in business as Red Dub failed to convert on the final possession.

In OT, the Dolla Dolla Billet reigned supreme, hit a big shot to get a lead and subsequently drained his FTs.  Big W for CAC to climb into 4th place.

LDC Closes Out with Somthering D

10-0 is a great feat, but keep in mind without winning the championship, it is like watching the Sopranos religiously for 7 years only to have it cut to black:  You will be extremely heated, disappointed, and wonder where the best hours of your life went.

In their 10th rendition of what I like to call the "Victory" LDC did it with absolutely smothering D.  Jordan set the tone from the beginning of the game and it transfered to the rest of his boys.  The best highlight of the night was a Jordan theft, who knocked it to the Hammer, who found Sky Larkin streaking to the hoop for a 2 handed, hold the cholersterol, YOKE.  With the Boomer banging down 3 first half 3's and the bigs (Seth and Lark) dominating on the inside, LDC was up big.

However, they hit the snooze like a stoner after a night of gorging on gravity bong hits and Scoobie Snacks.  While the Pistol and Samman struggled, Hynes 57 thrived in the post.  THe Kaneiac came alive on the glass in the second half to outright DSS abuse the LDC bigs on the offensive end.

However, LDC finally woke up as Jesse "Hyman" Roth and Noogs each had key buckets to wake up the slumbering LDC offense.  And yes, PLaisted's dunk at the end rocked the house.  When your only basket is a two handed angry flush, you get ink from midgets who can only do that on a fisher price rim...if no one is playing D on me...and there is a stool....and its a tennis ball or marble so my carnie hands can palm it.

Best of luck to both squads in the playoffs and LDC needs to win the championship or the regular season record means nothing...See last football season that shall ever be repressed in my head.
