Fall 2010: A Draft League Champs: Citizen Clown

Everyone on Citizen Clown was having flashbacks to the game against ATM Machine.  A back and forth battle was in the opposition's hands with just a few ticks left on the clock.  A deadly 3 point shooter was somehow allowed to get the ball for the final play and let go a half court heave that looked good on its release.

Thankfully for Clown, it was juuuust off to the right and they (we) survive and advance.

Leading up to that, we had quite a few spectacular events as well.  Chanel went bananas and led the team with 28 points (including some clutch free throws), Kaif fouled despite his team being up 1 in the closing seconds, and I airballed a potential game winning shot (why did i even touch it?!) before being bailed out by Pistol Pete who hit the biggest free throws of the game.

So yea, a whole lot to see in this game.

The Big Ticket had a throwback 22 and 19 game and owned me in every aspect. Thankfully, the Jumpman had his own 19 and 23 game to answer and cancel him out.  The difference maker in this one was Mok.  He's come on strong in the last month of the season, averaging 24 points per game in his last 4.  He's provided a HUGE lift on offense to a team that hasn't gotten consistant attendance.  Hell his late push almost challenged Mike Tracy for the Rookie of the Season award!

Without Mok leading the way, Clown wouldn't have won this game, as my usual playoff jitters were in effect. Don't be fooled by the box score, i took about 35 shots to the detriment of my team.

MIMA put up a hell of a fight without AB in this one. I can't state enough how clutch Chanel was down the stretch or how shocking it was to see I-225 show up for a playoff game.  Way to make your presence felt Vladi.

In the end, it wasn't quite enough, as Clown survives and advances to play next week against TBD in the semis at 6:50.
