Space Pace Beat Big Tuna Again For the Title
Space & Pace 56 Big Tuna 40
Space & Pace used a demoralizing 24-2 run in the first half to take total control of the game. Their lead never shrank below 11 the entirely of the second half.
S&P was a perfect 10-0 on the season with Jason Marino in the line-up. Both games they lost were without him. Sure sure, it's a total team effort. Adam Chen had the breakout season that many (ME) predicted. Fraser had moments of, oh shit he should be starting, before tripping on the sidelines after a few nice plays in a row. Childs and Damon provide relentless defense coming off the bench. A lot of times those guys do things that just don't show up in the box score. But if they do, I probably give the credit to someoen else anyway. Of course Justin is often overlooked, but his work on both ends of the floor make it impossible for teams to figure out a way to beat them. We all know that Valacer has been one of my favorite players to cover since he broke into the league.
This team is just damn good and they have another title to prove it. All season long they were the ONLY team that could figure out how to beat Big Tuna. That's not hyperbole. Big Tuna was 9-0 against every other team in the league this season. S&P just have the players to guard every position and can hassle some of the best shooters in the league into bad shots. A hell of a season for the champs!
