The long-awaited showdown between Shmoney and Amnesty didn’t live up to the hype. Shmoney decided to go with a 2-3 zone, which is always a mistake against a crafty old team filled with three-point shooters. Jevic kept his team focused on which guys to cover, but they let Amnesty finish the first half on a 15-2 run to take a 36-22 lead into the break.
Tobin did a great job guarding Javon throughout the game, but it was an uncharacteristically inefficient performance from him. Bray and Cody kept the ball moving while St. Clare and Connelly did damage down low and Amnesty coasted.
