Kerdan Continues to Surprise, Takes Down GDI

Kerdan continues to surprise this league with its Kerdan-lite strategy of team captain Mike Levinson. They have balanced a solid inside attack with some deadly outside shooting showcased over the past couple of weeks, completely revamping their all inside/all the time strategy of seasonís past. GDI is a mystery to me as I think I have only sent hem play once all season, so who knows. These two teams meet again next week in the opening round of the playoffs.

Young Men Too Much For Invasion

Is AYTD on a roll or what? And they are not going to be tired, that is for sure, steamrolling the Invasion with a total team effort. Lil Oícal Dan Lenihan apparently had his best game of the season, nearly amassing a triple double. Spike Santo poured in 23 points, while Tom Heffernan added 19 points and an unbelievable 27 rebounds. Matt Kaplan threw in 17 points just for fun. Charles Wong was the lone bright spot for the Invasion with a near triple double of his own (15 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists). AYTD finished the season 4-4 and will face this same Invasion next week in the 1st round of the playoffs as the Asians squeak in through no effort of their own..

Red Bull Ends Disappointing Season For Sasquatch

Allow me to remind everyone of my pre-season rankings:

ì1. Sasquatch ñ Sasquatch returns with the same squad that lost by two in last seasonís finals. With Cobra Kai moving to B2, I see no reason why this team shouldnít win it all. Although, I said that about Wake Forest in this yearís NCAA tournament as well.î

Hey, I am man enough to admit I made a small error in judgment. But did anyone else see this coming? With the full squad returning form last seasonís Finals appearance, AND adding Mark ìThe Animalî Odlum, can you blame me really for ranking these guys #1? Injuries to Flash and Worm have plagued this team all season, but still, they could have at least made the playoffs. The usual suspect of Keith Manning I imagine took control of this one early and seemed as if Sasquatch was never in this one, despite a nice effort from John Little (21 points) and the return of Flash (17 points). Red Bull finishes the season strong and will play Dís Nutz next week in what may be the most intriguing match-up in the 1st round. Sasquatch ends its season 2-7. Maybe there is a Wolverine Pre-season #1 curse. Time for Sasquatch to start spraypainting ìReverse the Curseî signs in the CRFC parking lot!

Hydrants Chop Cobra Kai, Surge Into The #2 Seed

The Fire Hydrants look strong going into the playoffs as this team is very balanced and should challenge for the title. With Grant Wang and Ben Szekely playing this well, and throw in a sprinkle of Danny Ryan and Chad Groff, you have a recipe for a potential champ. Cobra Kai finishes up an odd season without primetime where they had flashes of brilliance with a few sprinkles of disappointment. Which Cobra Kai will show up next week? Hydrants grab the #2 seed and will face the winner of AYTD/Asian Invasion. Cobra Kai faces a tough MTE team in the 1st round of next weekís playoffs.

Delpercio Crushes Lamdaís Playoff Hopes in Triple OT Thriller

LL&L playing for their playoff lives last night and they fought to the bitter end. Unfortunately, MTE outlasted them to eliminate LL&L from playoff action. Matt Delpercio evidently came up with some big shots down the stretch. MTE will play Dís Nutz in the 1st round next week in another very interesting game as both teams match up pretty well with each other.
