Warrior Country wins the B2 Title over Bobo Sports
Warrior Country 56 Bobo Sports 44
I went to the CAC on Thursday night thinking I just had to do stats for one game, but since Tibbs sucks, he threw the B2 4 v 4 Championship game on me without telling me. Thanks Tibbs! I usually don’t like writing about leagues I haven’t covered for the whole season, because if you think my analysis blows to begin with, imagine what it’s like if I have no idea who anyone is. Fortunately, I knew just about everyone on Warrior Country, but nobody on…*checking team name now*...Bobo Sports. What the fuck is Bobo Sports? A quick google search found Bobo Sport’s Bar + Grill in Monroe, LA, and a shady online gambling website called bobosports.org. Let’s get back on track here.
As the first game of the night was wrapping up, members from Warrior Country made their way to the balcony. First, there was Marc LeBlanc, who is always thrilled to see me. Then, there was MDA. He has this belief that I cost him the F11 B1 4 v 4 title, due to a scoreboard malfunction, and he thought I was back to do it again. Hey Dills, just for fun, I’ll throw this into the write-up. :)

Before the game, there was also a double Mulholland sighting. John Mulholland has been a member of the team all season, but due to attendance issues, the ghost of Brad Mulholland was able to play as well. So, that brought us up to a grand total of four familiar faces.
As for Bobo Sports, I didn’t know anyone. They all looked the same too, with the exception of Mark. (I swear that wasn’t supposed to be a race joke) Seriously though, just about everyone on the team looked like they were about 25, were from the North Shore, and spend every second of free time in a Gold’s Gym. I find it hard to believe that I’d be off on those predictions.
Let’s talk about the game a bit. It was one of the uglier games I’ve seen lately, and it stuck out even more considering it was a title game. The score at halftime was 21-20, in favor of Warrior Country. LeBlanc and JMul were the only members of WC to score in the first half, while Mark and Travis led the way for Bobo Sports. There were a few noteworthy plays in the first half that include:
-Travis’ three early on in the game to make it 5-2, BS
-LeBlanc’s three to make it 20-17, WC
-Jack’s And-1 opportunity to tie it directly after
Other than that, I couldn’t find much to talk about, scoring wise. Remember, the first half only had 41 total points. I think the most interesting thing to me was how Travis fell at the end of the first half. You would have thought somebody shot him in the leg with the way he reacted to an ‘injury.’ To nobody’s surprise, he played just about all of the second half.
In the beginning of the second half, MDA finally got into the scoring column, with a three to put Warrior Country up six, 26-20. Mark on Bobo Sports answered right back with a three of his own, but right after that, Marc LeBlanc went to work. Right after Bobo’s three, WC responded with a 22-9 run that pretty much sealed the game, and the B2 4 v 4 Title. The run included several threes by LeBlanc and one from MDA, as well as midrange jumpers for Darth LeBlanc. The run also included several missed layups from JMul - this is right around the time the ‘We want Brad’ chants started.
With the score now 48-32, and LeBlanc on fire, the struggling Bobo Sports team had no real shot of coming back. The whole was too deep to get out of, and they had struggled all game to put the ball through the basket. A comeback was just not going to happen. Final score, 56-44.
Your MVP is obviously Marc LeBlanc, but I have to mention this: I think heading into the game, LeBlanc had four missed free throws across all leagues all season. Late in the game, he missed four! FOUR!!!! There is no way I could ever draft LeBlanc for B Draft. I’d definitely take Brad, though.
