LP Slam 48 Foot Clan 37
LP Slam Alone In
Same old story for LP Slam as the two big men dominated with Shaq (26 points, 13 rebounds, 3 blocks) and Matt Bell (16 points, 10 rebounds). For Foot Clan, Jeff Mccarthy had 18 points and 7 rebounds, but LP Slam was just too big down low. LP Slam finishes its season atop the league at 6-2 while Foot Clan ends the season at 1-7. The good news (or maybe bad news?) for Foot Clan is theyíll make it to the playoffs.
Commentary by ... Ripcord 73 Goodfellaz 77 Cuadrado, Supporting Cast Too Much For Ripcord The Goodfellaz refuse to allow themselves to be a one-man show despite having a legit superstar on their team. Sure Joel Cuadrado poured in 38 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists, but he and his team know that the key to success is the play of the rest of the crew. And on this night they got great play from the rest of that crew: Taja Jennings (11 points), Wayne Tuggle (18 points) and Sean Rahim (7 points). The game was close throughout with Goodfellaz maintaining a lead most of the way until Jeff Nally decided he was a pyromaniac and lit CRFC on fire. He nailed 5 consecutive threes on consecutive possessions (36 points, 10 rebounds) in the 2nd half to pull his team ahead. Cuadrado responded with some huge shots of his own to allow his team to hang on for a victory. Goodfellaz finish the season at 5-3 while Ripcord finishes the season at 2-6. Luckily for Ripcord, we all make the playoffs in this league and they have a shot at defending their title. Watch-out for the Goodfellaz as a sleeper in the Playoffs.
Ruckus 37 Fama PR 59 Fama Dominates Ruckus Despite Inebriation Anyone who knows me knows that I donít condone alcohol in my administration. But after seeing Fama play so well last night, I may have to stop by the Cambridge Brewery myself for a quick pick me up before my game tonight. Fama looked great as the Jeckyll and Hyde Ruckus looked lifeless once again. Brian Merrill scored 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds while Matt Gill dropped in 13 points. For Ruckus, ìThe Waterbugî Gerry Arbens scored 15 points while the ìMagic Manî Chris Louis also added 15 points, but 37 points isnít going to get you many wins. Fama finishes its season at the .500 mark while Ruckus finishes at 3-5. With Genzyme a wild-card, this league is wide-open.
Team Baka 56 Genzyme 54 Isotopes 51 Super 88 59 Super: Super 88 Drops Super 88 waited until the last week of the season to play their best game of the season. Nobody on this team could miss as they worked the ball around and hit the open man consistently for the 1st time all season. The Worm Jeff York 28 (4 three pointers), Oscar Klein (10 points), and Nate Gould (10 points, 8 rebounds) lead an early charge that looked as if Super 88 was going to cruise in this one. Super 88 was up 20 in the 2nd half when Jeff Lincoln (30 points, 17 rebounds) lead a furious comeback to bring his team within 5, but Super 88 managed to hit their free throws and some big buckets down the stretch for the win. Super 88 finished up the season at .500 while the Isotopes drop out of first place to 5-3.
