Fall 2017: B2 4v4 League Champs: WO Productions

WO Productions Closes Out Undefeated Season
WO Productions 91 Say Hi to Ya Motha for Me 46

WO Productions was looking to complete an undefeated regular season. SHTYMFM was going to try to prevent that without their best player, Paul Anderson.

WO Productions jumped out to a quick 16-0 lead behind some slick passing from Phil Davis, who had been out the last couple weeks. He assisted on three of the first four buckets for WO Productions. The 16-0 run was capped by a Jason O’Keefe three pointer (why do teams ever leave him open??!?!?). Phil was nice enough to “complain” to the ref in order to “get her involved”. WO Productions was just having fun out there as they were up 33- with 8:30 to go in the first half. Ryan O’Keefe missed a free throw which caused the bench to exclaim “must be the net”. Scott Whitney nailed a fadeaway jumper shortly after that. No problem with the net there. The last 7 minutes or so of the half, SHTYMFM actually played a 16-13 game with WO Productions mostly behind Ryan Feeney. WO Productions took a 51-21 lead into half and appeared to be on cruise control.

The second half was more of the same (except Phil only had one assist in the second half). Scott Cote and Craig Breen got chippy under the basket a couple of times, much to the delight of the WO Productions bench. “I love when Craig gets chippy” –Phil Davis. Ryan Feeney continued to be the lone bright spot for SHTYMFM, scoring a layup that caused Phil to say “10 years ago I woulda put that on the glass”. Tim O’Keefe Jr and Tim O’Keefe Sr each got a couple of buckets late, Bryan Whitney had an “assist” to Scott Whitney off the glass. It was a family affair for WO Productions as they cruised to a 91-46 victory and an undefeated season.

    Player Snapshots

    WO Productions

Jason O’Keefe – Didn’t need many shots to score 23 points. He’s ready for the playoffs.

Ryan O’Keefe – Did his usual damage by scoring and stealing the ball. He chipped in 4 blocks on top of that. All around great game.

Phil Davis – You know when Phil is in the building, mostly from his constant chatter but most of the time his play backs it up. He was dropping all sorts of dimes in the first half. I wonder if I’ll ever see him attempt a three pointer?

Craig Breen – An energy guy that can score is rare. Craig does all sorts of little things and score when the team needs him too. He’s the perfect complement to the O’Keefe shooting and Phil’s passing.

Tim O’Keefe Sr – Had a couple steals tonight and a couple of buckets. He doesn’t get a ton of minutes but he always does a couple of positive things with the minutes he gets.

Scott Whitney – Had his season high points scored tonight with 11. When he’s not yapping at the ref he helps his team tremendously with shooting and grit.

Bryan Whitney – King of the set shot got a three to fall tonight. Also had an “assist” to his Pops off the backboard (we will give him the benefit of the doubt on that one). Sometimes gets reckless on rebounds and block attempts but better to fail with effort than fail to give effort.

Tim O’Keefe Jr – Didn’t quite have the range from three, so he took a couple steps in a nailed a couple of mid-range jumpers. Perfect from the line as well. Gives his time a nice late season addition for the playoffs.

    SHTYMFM

Scott Cote – Didn’t hit a foul shot and had a stretch their where he kept picking up fouls. A guy that does a lot of little things for SHTYMFM, they just needed more than little things tonight.

Brian Elliot – Got a couple of buckets but relatively quiet. Seems like he’s still finding his role.

Ryan Feeney – The one guy who was able to get his own offense. Forced to be the number one option tonight he did the best he could to keep his team in the game. Excellent play on his part.

Conor Bell – Would love to see him shoot more. He’s lethal when he’s hitting from three which is a weapon SHTYMFM will need when they play good teams like WO Productions in the playoffs.

Colin Sullivan – Grabbed a ton of rebounds tonight as there were plenty up for grabs with Paul and Dylan out. If he scores 8 points when the team is at full strength, that’s a win for SHTYMFM.

Patrick Clapp – Didn’t really do much in this game. Should have at least started chucking trey balls when the game was out of reach.
