Oh Yeah NWO Advances Free Throws The Key
    Cleary Club 47 N.W.O. 48

In a game that saw more fouls than a chicken ranch (and I am not talking about the good kind either), it came down to freebies (35 of them in a 36 minute game to be exact) and very simply ñ NWO hit them, and CC did notÖI could end it there, but I have other things to sayÖ Quinten Walsh didnít make a huge dent in the stat sheet, but bodying up Phil and keeping him off the offensive glass was another key to the gameÖcan somebody tell CO that the womenís league plays on Sunday nights?ÖMike D hit a huge three ball down the stretch to I think either tie it or get his team within 1ÖMeyer continues to be a dominating presence in the paint and alters just about everyoneís gameÖeven Danamalís, but his game was already altered by the fan in attendanceÖwhat a huge team CC has, even without Captain America Ken Cleary who I guess suffered a leg injury at the hands of the Axis PowersÖanyone else think that Walsh has a smoking gun on Belicheck?...CC missed the calming presence of Double Krunch Kris KonosianÖCO nailed three freebies with .2 seconds to play to tie the game and send it to OTÖclutch!!!!!!!!!!....not sure how they were even in position to tie the game, og right, forgot, missed freebies by CCÖNWO gets arch rival Matty O and Genzyme in the B2 North FinalÖshould be a great gameÖand please get the time correct on the websiteÖalso always good to check it game dayÖ.

    Finals Preview? CC Dominates G-Unit

The Joe's must be so pissed at me right now for that headline...tough to recover from a 14-0 opening run...did BFab mean that they were going for drinks to celebrate Lawson's departure to Australia BEFORE the game?...I can't wait to replace Lawson's Carrot Hop nickname with "The Thunder From Down Under" nickname when he gets back in the Fall...this game featured the front runners for the Defensive Player of the Year, Matty O and Meyer...how'd Kmiec get to the line 9 times in this one? I must be slipping...CC has looked absolutely unbeatable the last two weeks and I think the key to the team is having Double KK handle and distribute the ball for most of the game...at least now I can watch the Sweet 16 in peace and not have to worry about my grid...Captain America Ken Cleary hit some very tough shots in the paint against a tough defender in Lawson...I did get some bogus story as to why I havent gotten a Cleary Club t shirt yet, but I didnt buy it for one minute...Meyer is listed as having four blocks, which really means 7 in reality...why cant I buy just a few clementines?...best way of G-Unit after this one is to completely forget about this one and look forward to next week against MC...CC gets an unwanted week off before playing its last game of the season against Big State...best of luck to Lawson in Australia, although he should be wishing us luck for being stuck in Cambridge..

    N.W.O. for the Joes

According to Mike D's 2am message board post, NWO is going to take the CAC by storm.  But I'll be honest this was the first game they put together 2 halves of basketball to come away with a solid win.  I figure they are big boys and need to be taken down a level sometimes right!? hehe.  Apparently, Sparkles had just returned from a trip to Vegas and "had a scratched cornea", I've been to Vegas before and sure I've returned with a week long hangover, but a scratched cornea? I mean your team probably would have accepted, sleep deprived, dehydrated, behind on work as excuses.  It definitely hurt the Joes missing their high scorer but they made up for it with some hot shooting in the first while NWO struggled to get moving.  The Joes had the 26-20 advantage at the half as NWO struggled from the field as well as the foul line.

I saw them sippin' on some iced coffee at the half though and I guess it was the caffeine that gave them some fire right out of the gates as just a few minutes in we had a 1 point game on our hands.  Chris O shanghai'd 7 Joes passes that set NWO up for transition points and they had secured a 5 point lead by the 10 minute mark.  Quintin chipped in 4 steals of his own and took the ball strong to the basket to provide another offensive option for NWO.  Team leader, Mike D was feelin' it from the baseline and hit a few jumpers meanwhile the Joes were slowing down offensively.  That is until Eric hit 2 huge 3 pointers with 2 minutes to go and it was a 3 point game.  The Joes shifted the momentum in their favor and it seemed they were about to pull off a 2nd half comeback but a Chris O 3 point play sealed the deal for NWO.  The Joes remain in second place in the league despite this loss while NWO trails in 4th.  B2 North playoffs are gonna be good folks....

Friendly Rivalry: Big State Drops Tired SN

Big State/Serenity Now is always an entertaining gameÖat least now I can watch the Sweet 16 in peace and not have to worry about my grid since I tore it up after GTown lost...SN has looked lifeless over the past few weeks with very tired legsÖtoo much skiing for Bermont or maybe its his new dog wearing him out, but beagles are hard wrokers and need jobs to occupy them...but he did have a very nice double double despite the fact he should have fouled out twiceÖ and I didnít know the fouls had to be even, especially when a team is settling for jumpers most of the game (see tired legs)ÖI am pretty sure I would have hit on Cansecoís wife too had I met herÖGoogle her (at home of course)ÖBig State may have played their best game all season, just in time for the playoff run that they didnít make last seasonÖI still have no idea what time it is in Japan...free throws were 17-2 in Big States favor, which Bisghot pointed out to me may have been my worst game everÖ why cant I buy just a few clementines?...JRed had a great game as did Matt Scheufele Up And DealÖthat is the first time I think I have mentioned Matt in a write-up and he gets a nickname right awayÖhow bout thatÖSN now holding on to the last playoff spot while Big State creeps ahead of themÖ
