Oh Yeah NWO Advances Free Throws The Key
    Cleary Club 47 N.W.O. 48

In a game that saw more fouls than a chicken ranch (and I am not talking about the good kind either), it came down to freebies (35 of them in a 36 minute game to be exact) and very simply ñ NWO hit them, and CC did notÖI could end it there, but I have other things to sayÖ Quinten Walsh didnít make a huge dent in the stat sheet, but bodying up Phil and keeping him off the offensive glass was another key to the gameÖcan somebody tell CO that the womenís league plays on Sunday nights?ÖMike D hit a huge three ball down the stretch to I think either tie it or get his team within 1ÖMeyer continues to be a dominating presence in the paint and alters just about everyoneís gameÖeven Danamalís, but his game was already altered by the fan in attendanceÖwhat a huge team CC has, even without Captain America Ken Cleary who I guess suffered a leg injury at the hands of the Axis PowersÖanyone else think that Walsh has a smoking gun on Belicheck?...CC missed the calming presence of Double Krunch Kris KonosianÖCO nailed three freebies with .2 seconds to play to tie the game and send it to OTÖclutch!!!!!!!!!!....not sure how they were even in position to tie the game, og right, forgot, missed freebies by CCÖNWO gets arch rival Matty O and Genzyme in the B2 North FinalÖshould be a great gameÖand please get the time correct on the websiteÖalso always good to check it game dayÖ.

Shorthanded G Unit Handles Cowbell, Alone At The Top

I always love coming back from vacation and getting G-Unit to yell at me right off the bat. Can't I ease back into work like an old man into a warm bath? Despite the fact that the floor was packed with talent, the game lacked a certain rhythm and intensity you'd expect from these two teams. Nonetheless, Pat Lawson continued to be the spark plug for this squad (he needs a nickname - I am working on it) as he lead the way with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Bob Muse followed up with 11 points, 11 rebounds and enough free throw attempts to last him the rest of the season. EFPG Matty O rounded it out with 12 points and 9 rebounds, very hot from the outside. For Cowbell, General Sherman packed the stat sheet with 15 points and 22 rebounds while Romaine Hunt added 12 points, but the squad was never able to get inot that comfortable rhythm like they had against NWO a few weeks back. Captain Coox assured me though that he was working on fixing the issues, and its a long season, so plenty of time to regroup. G-Unit looks to remain unbeaten as they get the Average Joe's next week. More Cowbell gets Big State in what will be a brutal battle between General Sherman and The Siberian Bull Chris Roy.

JRed Sizzles and Big State Wins!

What a great game we had on our hands last night with NWO taking on the winless Big State in a battle to the very last minute.  JRed came out like he had something to prove, which he did, as I think he was hungry for a win. He dropped 20 first half points and was pretty much unstoppable from the baseline and drives to the hoop.  They held a constant lead over NWO despite Chris Oís 10 first half points as they led 35-27.  I was worried when they were missing T≤ and that without a sub their first half energy might fizzle through the rest of the game, but I thought wrong.  After a slow first, Roy(20 points, 14 rebounds) awoke to a huge second half while the entire team completely dominated the offensive boards getting 16 to NWOís 3 which led to numerous baskets.  I knew Big State was good but I guess they are just late bloomers as it took them a few weeks to get back in to the swing of things.  NWOís answer to JRed and Big State was 3 point shooting; just when things werenít looking good someone hit a 3 to close the gap.  The 2nd half went a little something like this: Chris O hits a 3 20 seconds in, NWO is down 5, 5 minutes later, Paul hits a 3, down 1, Big State scored, Erik(14 points, 13 rebounds) hits a 3, tied up with 12 minutes to play.  Heck even Mike D hit a 3 with 7 minutes to play to keep them within just a point tilí the very end.  Big State was able to finally break the cycle after Matt S got numerous steals to feed JRed for buckets and they pulled ahead a few points.  They held on to their slight lead until time expired giving them their first win of the season and Iím sure it felt good.  Theyíll be back to see if they can do it again against More Cowbell while NWO will take on Cleary Club.

Jake and the Pat Man: Joe's Handle Serenity

Well, I knew the loss of JLoh would heighten the need for another solid scorer on the Joe's, and that may be exactly what they got in Jake Acosta. Last night he had his best game at the CAC as he poured in 16 points while Sparkles Spaeth lead the way with 19. Speaking of needing another scorer, SN may also need just one more scorer to get out of their rut. I mean, they are certainly in every game and are capable of taking down some of these teams, but another scorer could put them in the title hunt the way these guys play together. Anyway, Bigshot Biggins continues his unstoppable drives to the hoop (19 points, 6 rebounds) and TBell added 11 points with a new three ball in his arsenal, while Mr. Fantasy Stat Fred Bermont added 9 points and 8 boards before fouloing out (which I guess was my fault?). But this team had an uncharacteristically high number of turnovers (I am sure Adam knows the exact number) which ultimately lead to their downfall. Next week the Joe's get top tier Genzyme whille SN gets the week off.
