    Hooray Frosty Treats
CACniss Everdeen 61 Sam Adams Basketball 44

I knew there was a reason that I threw the Angelillo’s a shoutout on Twitter today before the games! Just like the good old days of the South, Sweet D brought me a brown bag to help pass the time. I was so excited. https://twitter.com/CACBasketball/status/215241565193519105

I had to share with Reddick, but that’s ok, it’s the thought that counts. I bet Grubb doesn’t get frosty treats like I do!

The karma clearly was good for Boozer, as he came out firing in the first half and led CACniss in scoring with 8 points. It doesn’t matter how deep Boozer shoots from, if it’s going in, it’s nothing but net. Not a whole lot you can do. If you’re going to start trying to block him, he’s going to give you the Pierce upfake and head to the line for 3. Never foul a jump shooter!

Sam Adams gamely tried to keep up on offense with CACniss. Henny, as usual, led the way with the deep ball. Scott was playing aggressive defense all night long, often full court. Sure he ended up with 4 fouls by being a little over-aggressive at times, but he also ended the night with 6 steals, so, you know, you take the good with the bad.

Of course, if you take a glance at the statsheet, you’ll notice that there were 40 total steals in this game. No I’m not trolling you, those are legit stats! The game was pretty sloppy for the first 22 minutes and I think that is reflected. A solid extra 80 PR points were up for grabs.

Sam Adams never stopped playing hard, though. That’s the TRUTH! James dropped in a few buckets in the second frame, while Justin hit a pair of bombs and Henny kept going hard, leading the team with 19 points. Sam Adams actually won the second half 27-24.

I totally blame SaDoh, by the way. She didn’t score until there were 9 minutes left in the game. I heard she was just coming back from vacation, but who forgets how to hit a lay-up while on vaca? I mean, I never knew how, so at least I have that as an excuse, but SaDoh is usually good for 13 points and 7 boards, what’s this 6 and 2 crap? She better be careful or D is going to bench her. Rachel played well and wouldn’t mind a few more minutes I’m sure!

Angel dominated the glass, but was almost out rebounded by Ceciley (I spelled that correctly, right? RIGHT?!) and even Boozer got in on the rebounding action. He was really motivated tonight, I’ve never seen him gobble up 8 rebounds. “Sweet” D must have lit a fire under her team’s ass after its loss to Gunz last week. Maybe she won’t be happy with their second frame and will use that as motivation for when her team faces the Heroes next week.
