Spring 2016: Corporate 5v5 League Champs: B.o.B.

    BOB Wins West
    B.O.B. 50 Steamboats 35

In the final game of the season Steamboats seemed to lose their legs, or simply couldn't hit a shot. Never seen Jamey miss five or six wide open threes and the rest of the team was 0-7 as well to pretty much screw them.

When the other team has two beasts in Reggie and Lee controlling the glass you've gotta knock down some long range shots and the Boats just couldn't do it. BOB rode their starters all game and played solid, meticulous basketball againt the Boats zone to win a Regional Title.

    Steamboats Do Not Drop Another

Missed the first couple games in Week 2 due to my real *job But JR had me covered with the 411 on Steamboats vs RSM. Did he really get this score right? Looks like the Boats had all their key guys there and got the big lanky Jordan Swenton back but still lost by 8?

Apparently not. Steamboats in fact won

They trailed 33-23 at the break despite JR writing that RSM was turnover happy. Whoever was 00 for McGladrey must’ve made a big difference because he dropped 13 and rebounded, but who knows. The Boats reign of mild terror may be over. Where’s Thuy???

    Auto Wins

Missed the first couple games in Week 2 due to my real *job But JR had me covered with the 411 on Auto vs. KIC. Much better performance by KIC this week with 25 points, but Auto stifled them with 6 points in the first half.

Points in the paint was apparently the story for Auto. When I showed up they were just strolling through the motions in the second half getting plenty of layups, but it looks like Campbell and Maneval led an improved offensive effort from KIC.

    Shooting The Lights Out

Holy Jesus the Digitas will never shoot this well again. Granted, if you get a ton of wide open looks and knock them down the basket will start to look bigger and bigger, but Gauld and Phil basically couldn’t miss throughout the second half when Strange started making a run.

Frustrating day for them to say the least, as their brief 7-0 run to start the second frame was washed out by a barrage of more threes in the best shooting performance of those guys’ lives.

    Its Murdaaaa

This isn’t really going to be fair. B.O.B. has way too much size and skill for any team to really challenge them in this league, and after winning a close one against the Steamboats I would expect them to push for an undefeated season in Corp West.

No real chance for Continuum with only one true big in Coene, and it was out of hand early. Jones kind of looks like Ja Rule which is appropriate, because any time they go out there it’s murdaaaaaa.

    The Monstars 39  PUMA 45

    PUMA hangs on

Another close game for the Monstars, who got left behind by their fellahs on B.O.B. and can’t seem to close down the stretch. Eddie was on fire from the opening tip and seemed focus, but idk who passed out the Yip before the game because X was about to have his heart explode he was too hype during the game.

The Monstars stayed close thanks to solid support efforts from Isaiah and Kishmar but Eddie couldn’t keep the magic going when the defense ramped up and Woodward’s team closed it out.
