    Akamai 41 McGladrey 51

    Pre-Game

Coming into this game I guess you could say Akami was the favorite because they were the higher seed with the better record.  McGladrey had the most impressive playoff win though taking down the #1 seed so I know their confidence was high.  McGladrey had 8 guys ready to go while Akami had 9 guys.

    First half

McGladrey was up for the whole half.  Their biggest lead was right at the break when they were up 26-19.

    Player of the half

Paul Valente 7 pts, 1-2 from the free throw line, 4 drebs

    Second half

McGladery at no point in this half looked like they would lose this game.  They comfortable held a double digit lead for the whole half and went on to win 51-41.

    Player of the game

Mike Ferriero stuffed the stat sheet and led his team in scoring.

    Takeaways

Akami had a nice playoff run and was able to somewhat exceed expectations.  I’m sure they will be back next season.

McGladrey makes it to the championship game and looks to continue their Cinderella playoff run.

    Surprise suprise…

    Pre-Game

Coming into this game Boston Properties (BP) had won some big games over the last couple weeks so I’m sure their confidence was pretty high.  In the beginning of the season Digitas was blowing out teams but as of late most of their games were close.  For tonight’s match-up they only had 6 guys while BP had 10 guys ready to play.

    First half

It was clear from the start and pretty much the duration of the half that BP was the better team.  They had the lead for the entire half and was up 23-10 at halftime.

    Player of the half

Will Brennan 10 pts, 2-4 from three, 2-2 from the free throw line, 1 oreb, 3 drebs

    Second half

At one point the game looked like it was going to get super ugly with BP up 41-23 with about 14 minutes left.  I give Digitas a lot of credit for not giving up and just playing hard.  However it wasn’t enough to win the game as BP went on to win easy 55-46.

    Player of the game

John Faherty after having a really quite first half with only 2 points John really helped BP secure the win hitting 4 triples and stuffing the stat sheet.

    Takeaways

Digitas had a good regular season but I think they need more depth next season.  Today they just lost to a better team but based on the regular season they had they clearly were a good team.

Nice win for BP, they’ll have to do it again to win this league so lets see if they can.
