Prince’s Revolution completed their undefeated season and won the championship by taking down Gunz and Butta in the Finals, 58-38. The championship game was a microcosm of their entire season, they basically dominated from start to finish. Behind strong play from Helen Ridley, the Revolution raced out to an early lead. She knocked down a 3 to give them a 16-9 lead and they extended the lead to 21-9 shortly thereafter. Matt Lehr tried to keep G&B in the game, he knocked down a 3 of his own which cut the deficit to 21-12. The Revolution took a 27-14 lead into the break. Only 2 players scored for G&B in the first half, Lehr with 10 and Kaplan with 4.

G&B came out firing in the 2nd half. They went on a 7-0 run capped off by a 3 from Kaplan which brought them to within 6. On the next possession, Kaplan saw a 3 go in and out which would have cut the lead to just 3. At that point, the Revolution regained some momentum by getting Greg Barr some easy looks inside. They were able to build their lead back up to double digits, and a 3 by Barr with 2 minutes left pushed the lead up to 52-34, which proved to be the nail in the coffin. Helen Ridley was named finals MVP, she finished the game with 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. She may not have been the leading scorer in the game, but she set the tone early and got the Revolution out to the early lead.

Greg Barr and Dustin Williams also got some consideration for MVP. They each finished with 15 points. Carlos knocked down a couple threes on his way to 8 point. Ryan had 6 points and was great at getting his teammates easy shots, finishing with 7 assists. Christine had 2 points and Carissa grabbed 7 rebounds.

Lehr and Kaplan were the only 2 players for G&B to finish in double digits. Lehr had 14 points and 8 rebounds while Kap had 13 points and 7 rebounds. Mike had 6 points and Carla had 4. Ben only had 1 point, but grabbed 11 rebounds. It was a strong season for G&B, they proved themselves to be the 2nd best team in the league.
