Yeaks Goes HAM Leads RKE To Easy Win
The Real Kaplan Experience 95 MANZ NOT HOT 72

    GAME NOTES

    - MVP: Yeakley - Not a bad game from Yeaks who went completely nuts from deep (10/15). Yeaks had it going tonight.

    - LVP: Kerr - 1/10 from deep. Yuck.

    - RKE looked to avenge their loss to MNH last time they played and they did just that. RKE looked crisp early and often and they were able to build a 15 point halftime lead.

    - Cox was a no show for this one and I thought he was the one guy that really gave MNH an edge in this matchup. He is a tough matchup for RKE which he proved last time these two teams played.

    - The Lyon MVP train kept on chugging. 24 rebounds and 7 blocks. My god.

    - Ray had a nice game in what ended up being a lost season for MNH. 23 points, 19 rebounds. Not bad for an old man!

    - Somehow, RKE managed to remain unbeaten this season when Fischer OR Hof are missing. Maybe one of them should volunteer and sit out in the playoffs?

    GRADES

    The Real Kaplan Experience

Kap (B-): Ho-hum game for me, nothing too crazy. Had a nice block on Ray and some steals but deferred to Yeaks and Hof for the most part.

Marc (C-): Not a great game for Marc but he did enough. 1/9 from deep is very uncharacteristic for him.

Hof (D+): Hof had a number of nice plays but overall he wasn’t good. 16 points on A LOT of shots and 2/5 from the line. GARBAGE BIN!

Lyon (A-): Lyon gets knocked a little for going 1/6 from the free throw line (gross!) but he was a beast everywhere else. He killed it on the glass and protected the rim like it was a new born child.

Yeaks (A+): Yeaks gets the rare A+ as he really took advantage of MNH’s Phoenix Suns like defense. He nailed 10 treys on 15 attempts and managed to come up with 2 nice blocks as well.

    Manz Not Hot

Eliot (B+): Eliot had one of his patented flurry of points in the second half but it was too little too late. He still was able to score 21 which is pretty good against a solid RKE defense.

Ray (A-): Ray ended the season on a positive note with a strong showing but it still goes down as another rough season for him in Franchise A. 19 boards though. Hot damn.

Kerr (D): Not Kerr’s best game but he played hard and still managed to convert some nice hoops under the rim. I would have liked to see more steals/blocks though!

Xavier (C): Lyon shut down Xavier after he had a strong game against RKE last time. Xavier didn’t score much but he contributed in other areas so his night wasn’t a complete waste.

RKE Wins 3rd Straight, Hottest Team in the League!

    GAME NOTES

    - MVP: Marc - Great game for Marc who led RKE in scoring and played a strong all-around game.

    - LVP: - Kofi - Only 10 points and struggled in the pick n roll defense. Not his best night.

    - This was a pretty good game from start to finish that saw RKE lead by 4 at the break and then end up winning by 5. Neither team really seemed eager to pull away from the other which allowed this game to stay close throughout. RKE was just a few plays better though down the stretch.

    - The pick n roll was cookin’ for RKE. Whether it was Fischer and Lyon, Kap and Lyon or Fischer and Marc, it didn’t matter. ET struggled to defend it and a high percentage of RKE’s buckets came off the pick n roll.

    - RKE did not make a free throw in the game according to the stat sheet which was manned by Billy. 0/4 as a team. That is tough to do!

    - The balanced attack from week to week for RKE is incredible. It seems like every single week everyone scores in double figures. In fact, on the season everyone on RKE is averaging double figures.

    - ET put forth a solid effort despite this being a lost season. That said, I can’t really blame Kofi. He got Tibbs’d right out of the gate and anyone who knows anything about anything knows getting Tibbs’d is a death sentence.

    - I can’t believe that scrub Pollock went 1/1 from deep and 3/3 from the line. That has to be his best efficiency ever despite the small sample size.

    GRADES

    The Real Kaplan Experience

Kap (C): Not a great game for me but I sat most of the second half for the good of the team! Fischer would tell you I wasn’t in the game mentally but that is just false.

Fischer (B+): Fischer executed the pick n roll with Lyon beautifully a number of times on his way to a season high 9 dimes. He didn’t shoot great, but Fischer’s fingerprints were all over this RKE win.

Marc (A): Monster game for Marc, who led RKE in scoring with 20 while doing a great job on the glass. Marc also had a couple really pretty finishes around the rim in traffic.

Lyon (A): Another huge game for Lyon. 19 points, 16 rebounds, 3 dimes, 3 steals, 3 blocks and great defense on Kofi. The MVP caliber campaign just keeps chugging along for this guy.

Yeakley (B): Yeakley wasn’t quite as electric as his previous two games but he was still able to put forth another solid effort. Yeakley chipped in 10 points to go with 8 rebounds and 2 HUGE blocks. Too bad the ref took away what should have been a third block on Ghost.

    Ewing Theory

Pat (A-): Strong game for Pat who chipped in across the board. He also seemed to shoot much better than he has all season from deep (4/8). Pat controlled the offense and almost led his team to an upset win.

Pollock (A): Funny how Pollock has a MASSIVE game and his team still loses! This guy collected 18 rebounds (7 offensive) to go with 20 points and efficient shooting numbers. Not enough!

Martin (B+): Solid game for Martin but I still would like to see more dimes. I know Pat controls the ball for the most part but I think Martin has a knack for driving that could result in more drive and kicks. Regardless, Martin had a nice game and his strong season continues.

Kofi (D): The rebounds are nice (12) but I thought this was a bad game for Kofi. He only scored 10 points on very inefficient shooting and didn’t attempt a single free throw. Better days are ahead for the big man.

Ghost (D): Ghost never really got going in this one and got cooked on defense. Simply put RKE is a bad matchup for Ghost. A lot of guards and a lot of perimeter players. Ghost also went 1/4 from the free throw line which is quite uncharacteristic. TRASH!
