Championship game for us old folks and we had one team missing its best player Ry-O. What a bummer but he had a good reason, which was going to the Pats game.

Before this game started I hoped for a good exciting finish to the end of the season.
The game started off slow but  the number 1 seed started pulling away from strong early play from Ruff and Mazz. Mr.Mazzone missed 8 threes in the 1st and went 0-5 from the free throw line and i said BSL needed to capitalize on a cool Mazz before he heats up.

Ruff had his game face on and took every calculated chance to score and make the right pass. 14 first half points and probably missed 3 shots max.

BSL struggled to find an offensive flow without floor general RY-O. Rudy and Seyi took on the load in the 1st half but the team only put up a total of 21 while MYFLSHIT dropped a cool 34.

Mazz after a ugly free throw performance in the 1st finally got one to go down with 18 minutes left in the game.
BSL would not go out without a fight. Rudy was on another level hitting everything looking like Westbrook on the court. Chasing down the rebounds was big and a major reason why they where only down 7 with 15 minutes left.
Mals struggle from downtown but hit a long 2 because that foot was on the line. Mals did his thing and never gave up on plays.

BSL wanted the pick up the pace because time was getting slim and pushing the ball was key in the come back run.Rudy started picking pockets and hitting back to back 3's which set the fire alarm off in the building. Only down five 37-41 the fire alarm literally went off with 13:45 left in the game. After a 3 minute break we got back to action.

Seyi had his moments all game of hot and cold. At times should have kept feeding the hot hand or just let the offense run through Rudy. Played strong in the post and hit some big shots late in the game. Some on the level of hold your breath and then they fall.

Ruff's team wanted to go for the kill a few times with some 3's but nothing was going down. MYFLSHIT finally gave up that plan and started attacking the paint or posting the bigs which led to getting chances at the line. While they slowed things up Team Rudy ran the floor and by doing that the score was 45-47 with 4:40 left.

In this remaining time it was one team trying to get 1 stop and one team trying to dagger. Down two and 1 minute left BSL was down 2 still looking for a chance to tie. BSL had that chance from Sohail who blew by his defender for a wide open layup but missed it and that really hurt because they had to play the foul game.

Ruff , Hayes and Mazz sealed the deal with free throws and walk off into the sunset of victory.

Finals MVP could have been Rudy with that amazing fight but Damian Ruff the championship captain put in that work. This decision was hard because obviously you have Jon Mazzone on this team. I gave it to Ruff because he played a CAC perfect game. The only thing he really did wrong was take a few 3's that he wanted to dagger but he made up for it with some and-ones .

This wasn't an easy win and some times you can say after to yourself 'what if?'

Overall what a Fun season and we will see what happens next month when we begin next season.
