Spring 2009: Women’s 5v5 League Champs: Step Off

    Step Off wins the chip
Step Off 59 Cripple Triple Threats 43

Just the way you want it to go down, the two best teams during the regular season meeting in the last game of the season. Step Off had a few late arrivals but Cripple Triple Threats couldnít take advantage as they started off with some cold shooting while Step Off just tried to hang on until Corey, Lu and Shannon arrived.

Liz of course was dropping dimes and playing some great D with 3 steals in the first half. Erica was doing the same for her team and also brought her offense tonight and was getting to the rack with ease. Keri put and end to CTTís cold shooting with two 3ís and her team was up early.

Corey finally showed up and added some much needed instant offense the second she stepped on the court with her baseline Jís that gave Step Off a 2 point lead at the half after Lizís pull up at the buzzer.

CTT seemed out of sync in the 2nd and it hurt them dearly especially with a fully loaded Step Off team. Corey continued scoring as she led her team in that department while Shannon hit her first 3 attempt to go up by 12. Steph buried a few long jumpers and there was no coming back for CTT. Keri and Erica had great games but the rest of the team needed to help out more if they wanted to beat the best team in the league.

Liz with another great all around game takes the MVP, congrats to Step Off I know CCT will be back next season (Anna has some new recruits) hope to see Step Off also.
