Winter 2018: A 5v5 League Champs: Treys For Days

    Williamson The Real MVP
Treys for Days 70 The Reconciliation 64

Classic #TibbsLies situation in the final week of the A League, sending everyone but the employees to MLK due to an oversight.

So warm-up time was slightly limited and the start time was 7:30 instead of 7:15, but that didn't seem to effect much. Adam Bramanti came out strokin as per usual and Recon was getting a lot of early offense on backcuts to the basket.

Despite poor outside shooting, Tres got plenty offense by climbing on the back of Allen Williamson. He was putting on a mid-range game clinic all evening, or routinely blowing by Recon's bigs.

I guess that's the flaw of St. Clare's roster construction....Everyone on that team is either like 6-8 or a pure guard... need that wing defender to stop AW from getting 32.

It was close though, Tres trailed 34-32 at the break but opened the seocpond half on a 19-6 run to take a 53-40 lead on Allen's and-1.

For some reason, they went to a zone late and that opened up some easy threes for Recon. Adam hit one and Joe scored on a take to make it 55-52 late. But a rare off shooting night from Evanovich and some shady calls benefitting Scott Anderson allowed Tres to maintain the late lead and bring that first Chip home for Madlinger.
