Spring 2015: B2 4v4 League Champs: Nubbin

Moran Goldberg power C4NT into 2nd Round
    Brothers & Others 66 C4NT 78

Scott Moran staved off every B&O comeback by nailing 3 after deep 3 after deep 3. He was unconcious in the second half, going 6-8 from beyond the arc and leading the way with a team high 34 points.

Ross Goldberg set the tone on the other end, swatting away SIX shots and gobbling up rebounds with absurd efficiency for the 4th tallest player on the floor! Good luck doing that in round two ross, Nubbin ain\'t backing down from you!

B&O fell into an early hole after Fermon hit back to back 3s with 12 left in the first half. From there they were busy clawing their way out. Mike O\'C provided a nice spark off the bench, getting to the free throw line time after time, but not really converting. Maybe if he had backed up to the 3 point line (2-2 on the night) he would have had more success.

B&O consistently trimed their hole to 4, 5 or 6 points as the clock wound down, but there was just too muc Moran in this one.

For those that are unaware, i actually sorta kinda covered the league this season!! Here are my award winners:

    All-D Team
    Ross - KMase - BMitch - Tejeda

DPoY - NUBBIN - That\'s right, this is a team award this season. I can\'t pick just one guy on a team taht held opponents to 28% fewer ppg than the next best defensive team. That\'s some 07 celtics shit right there!!

OPoY - Roy Ghantous - Shoot the Jay - this is typically my MVP runner up award, and the same holds true this season. In leading StJ to the 2nd best record n the league, Roy carried a huge offensive burden and usually came through for his crew.

    All Chuckers Team
    Fermon - Moran  - Martone - McCoy

Rookie of the Season: Joe Foley - B&O- in a league with a ton of familiar names and faces, it\'s always good to see new guys break out and Joe was that guy for B&O, providing timely offense and some much needed D to a team that was more than happy to give up layups like nobody\'s business.

    ALL-CAC TEAMS

    1st Team
    Ashton - Moran - Roy - Northrup

    2nd Team
    Mason - Austin - BMitch - Shannon

MVP: Geoff Ashton - Nubbin - Look, the winner here could very easily be Roy G since Ashton played on a team where FIVE other guys averaged double figures but as a proponent of the #HOFF4MVP train for the last like 4 seasons Nubbin\' has played, i can\'t not give it to him. He played all 10 games and nearly averaged a double double with the ragtag crew of B&O keeping stats (thanks again guys!!). Now, if Nubbin doesn\'t win the title (#CurseofTibbs) at least he\'ll have something to hang his hat on
